KIDNEY CANCER
Kidney Cancer is cancer that starts in the cells of the kidney. The most common type is renal cell carcinoma (RCC). The other type is called urothelial carcinoma (or transitional cell carcinoma).

This grows in the central area of the kidney where urine collects.
A rare type of kidney cancer that affects children is called Wilms Tumour.
​
Treatment for kidney cancer can include Nephrectomy or Partial Nephrectomy.
​
These procedures may be performed using robotic surgery or minimally invasive laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery.
