PROSTATE CANCER
Prostate Cancer develops when abnormal cells in the prostate gland grow in an uncontrolled way forming a malignant tumour. Prostate Cancer is common and does not always require treatment. However, assessment by a Urologist is important if prostate cancer is suspected.

Medical Imaging and Biopsy form part of informed diagnosis when considering surgical options such as robotic surgery.

The Urologist at East Coast Urology pioneered robotic surgery for Prostate Cancer on the Gold Coast and they were among the earliest adopters of the procedure in Australia. Therefore we now have one of the busiest and most experienced robotic units in Queensland.
